Shutter Island

Shutter Island, staring Leonardo DiCaprio, is currently playing in most theatres around America. While this story has captured viewers eyes in theatres, it was first written by Dennis Lehane and published as a novel until Martin Scorsese decided to take this story and tranform it into a motion picture. I went to see this movie a month ago when it first came out and I must say it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Although, there were previews which made the movie seem scary, it was not a scary movie at all. Instead, it was more of an adventure with an amazing twist at the end.
The story follows the life of DiCaprio's character known as Detective Teddy Daniels. Daniels and his partner are sent to investigate a missing person's case in an insane asylum. This asylum is located on an island which is battered by a hurricane during the investigation. Daniel's and his partner continue to find the clues to discover what happened to this missing person. However, Daniel's and his partner discover more than they were looking for during their investigation. They begin to discover there are many suspicious things occurring on this island with this asylum. Yet, the more they discover, the more they wish they hadn't come to the island at all.
